Carlops Parish Church
Carlops Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation in a linkage with Kirkurd and Newlands Church and St Andrew’s Church West Linton. “Linkage” means that the three churches share a minister, but each has its own Kirk Session and is independent in policy and operation within the established doctrines and regulations of the Church of Scotland.
Anyone in our congregation will be happy to talk to you about the church and its activities. You can contact us in a variety of ways.
There is a service in Carlops Church every Sunday at 10am; click here for more information.
We invite you to join us, at Sunday services and/or at any of our other events and work. Yes, that means you can do either, or both, as you wish! We offer a rich variety of activity and we promise a warm personal welcome, a listening ear and a light touch, with no preaching and no arm twists! No one will pressurise you to do anything, or take part in anything, that you do not feel ready for.
Carlops is an inclusive congregation and invites everyone to join in its fellowship and work. We welcome people regardless of age, colour, culture, faith, gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other distinction which may be used to divide humankind.
We refurbished our church in 2009: new heating, new furnishings, new decorative window and restoration of the 19th century organ. The church is serene, dignified and comfortable.
Carlops Parish Church is registered Scottish Charity SC004340
